Cambridge Family House
This is our third project for these clients–a London lawyer, a Cambridge academic, and their three young children. The house, a 1920s architect–designed house in a leafy suburb of Cambridge, has well–proportioned rooms, big windows and all its original features, so we had a head start in creating a light–filled, characterful family home.
Some internal remodelling was required in order to create a modern master bedroom/bathroom suite and a new children's bathroom. Our next priority was bringing colour and pattern into the spaces and sourcing vintage furniture and accessories to complement our understated bespoke joinery. On the second floor a suite of 2 guest bedrooms and bathroom were created to have an old fashioned, attic feel overlooking the gardens.
